Training Baese

Astro Air offers three PPL training bases. They are Beijing Badaling Airport, Zhejiang Zhoushan-Putuoshan Airport and Guangdong Luoding Airport. (The three training bases operate and enroll cadets independently. Astro Air will arrange all the things for you.)

Beijing Badaling Airport

Beijing Badaling Airport is located in Badaling, Yanqing, Beijing, adjacent to the famous Great Wall and Guanting reservoir. The airport is 60 km, 40 minutes by car to the Beijing City. There is a runway of 800m*30m, a concrete apron of 12,000 square meters.  A 3,000 square meters terminal, 900 square meters hanger and 650 square meters maintenance workshop and 1,000 square meters dormitory are in the airport.

Zhejiang Zhoushan-Putuoshan Airport

The airport lies in the Zhujiajian Island, to the south of Zhoushan Island. It is only 1.2 km to the famous harbor Shen Jiamen. It is only 10 minutes by car from airport to Putuo Mountain. Airport elevation is 1.8 m, PCN 53. Runway is 2500 m. The apron is 52,000 square meters and can accommodate 8 middle and small sized aircrafts. Until now, the airport has routes to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Fuzhou, Xiamen, Quanzhou and so on. You can reach the airport within 2-4 hours by car from Zhejiang or Shanghai.

Guangdong Luoding Airport

Luoding Airport is located in Shahaogang Village, Sulong Street, Luoding City. Until now, there is no scheduled flight in the airport. Now Luoding-Yangjiang-Zhuhai low altitude route is established. The airport is 7.5 km to downtown and is managed by Luoding Aviation Service Company. It is mainly used for training, industry and agriculture. The runway is 2.5 km long and 3B.

The Cirrus SR20 is equipped with parachute system, which greatly enhances the safety.

On 12th May, a training airplane of CAFUC made a forced landing in Xin’an, Luoyang City. Thanks to the parachute system in SR20, no death reported.

It has been a controversial issue over whether small airplane should be equipped with parachute. It was because of the parachute system that no one was dead in the accident. Most of the light airplanes are not equipped with parachute system. There has always been voice in the aviation field that light and ultra light airplanes bear good takeoff and landing performance, and have good gliding performance. There is no need to equip the parachute on the airplanes for they can land safely on the road or other even surface due to perfect gliding performance.

Persons without parachute training can get hurt. Some airplane, like SR20, changed the design of equipping the parachute to persons but to the airplane. In case of accident, the risks of being dead or getting hurt decreased by the parachute system.

SR20 can accommodate four passengers with its unique CAPS, which can help to save lives of crew member and passengers in case of emergency.
